CPE Credits

Learn it. Log it. Keep your certifications current.

The agenda sessions at The Cyber Executive Retreat can count toward Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for certifications from ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA and others, through self-reporting: at least 12 CPE credits, with a Certificate of Attendance for every attendee. Here's how to claim them.

The Basics

How CPE credit works.

We are not affiliated with ISC2, ISACA or CompTIA, but most certifying bodies accept self-reported education from unaffiliated events when it is relevant to your profession and properly documented.

12+

CPE credits

across the program's agenda sessions, with a Certificate of Attendance for every attendee.

1 hr

of participation

often equals 1 CPE credit. Record the length of every session you attend.

Group A

Domain-related

Content directly tied to your certification's domains, such as security strategy, risk and operations.

Group B

Professional skills

Content that strengthens your overall professional skills, such as leadership and career development.

Group A and Group B are ISC2 categories. Other bodies classify credits differently, so check your certification's CPE handbook. The 12+ CPE total is based on the program's agenda sessions. Acceptance is determined by each certifying body.

Step by Step

Four steps to claim your credits.

  1. 01

    Verify eligibility

    • Review your CPE handbook. ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA and others each define which activities qualify and how to submit them.
    • Identify the credit type. Decide whether each session is directly domain-related or enhances your broader professional skills.
  2. 02

    Document your participation

    • Keep your Certificate of Attendance. Our VIP team provides one to every attendee after the retreat.
    • Track every session. Log the title, date and duration as you go. Our CPE log does the math.
    • Keep supporting materials. Save the agenda, presentation slides and your notes.
  3. 03

    Self-report

    • Log in to your certification portal. Most have a dedicated section for managing CPEs.
    • Describe the event. Include the title, dates, organizers and the topics covered.
    • Upload your documentation. Attach your certificate and supporting materials as required.
  4. 04

    Demonstrate relevance

    • Write a clear description of how the sessions relate to your cybersecurity domains or professional skills.
    • Highlight specific sessions and why they matter for your current or desired role.
    • Connect it to your certification domains and the capabilities they test.

Always verify with your certifying body

Check your certification's official guidelines for the most accurate and up-to-date rules on acceptable CPE activities and reporting. Credit is determined by each certifying body, not by the retreat.
